Clause 8.4

8.4.1 Does the organization determine, collect and analyze appropriate data to demonstrate the suitability and effectiveness of the quality management system and to evaluate where continual improvement of the effectives of the quality management system can be made?

8.4.2 Does the organization’s data analysis include data generated as a result of monitoring and measurement and from other relevant sources?

8.4.3 Does the organization’s analysis of data provide information relating to:

a) customer satisfaction (see element 8.2.1 of ISO/TS16949:2002)?
b) Conformance to product requirements (see element 7.2.1 of ISO/TS16949:2002)?
c) Characteristics and trends of processes and products including opportunities for preventive action?
d) Suppliers?

8.4.1 ANALYSIS AND USE OF DATA

8.4.4 Does the organization compare trends in quality and operational performance compared with progress toward objectives and lead to action to support the following:

- development of priorities for prompt solutions to customer-related problems?
- Determination of key customer related trends and correlation to support status review, decision making and longer term planning?
- An information system for the timely reporting of product information arising from usage?
