Procedure for applying statistic techniques
Procedure for applying statistic techniques
1. PURPOSE:
The purpose of this procedure is to set up a statistic system to measure the working processes and the customer’s satisfaction, to determine which division needs frequently improving. This procedure also defines how to use Pareto Chart to describe the division’s contribution to final goal in an order of importance and also make a rank to improve.
2. SCOPE:
This procedure applies to the products.
3. DEFINITION:
3.1. The terms used in this procedure are suitable with standard ISO 9001:2008.
3.2. Abbreviation:
4. CONTENT:
4.1. Rule in using Statistic technique:
• Select unit to measure the number of time happening, cost and/or to measure the difference level in between the impacts
• Draw the subject from left to right across the X axis, from high to low (can combine into different subjects). Place at the far end of the right side.
• Draw 2 Y-axis, at the 2 ends of the X-axis. The left one is specified by unit and with the height equal to the total height of the subjects. The right one is of the same height as the left and specified by percent, from 0% to 100%.
• Above each subject, draw a rectangular with the relevant height (relevant to that subject’s quantity amount).
• Create a cumulative frequency line by adding the magnitude level of the subjects from left to right.
• Use Pareto Chart to identify important subjects for improving the quality.
• Compare using chart the subjects before and after improving to determine the effectiveness of the improvement.
4.2. Production statistic and actual cost:
• All sectors report the daily producing progress to the planning department to collect.
• The reports must include: day of report, commodity No, commodity name, color, size, quantity in that day, progressive quantity, reporter…
• The planning department will make a summary report. This report includes: day or report, Commodities No, Names, number of order, the Cut quantity, the Sewn quantity, the complete quantity, the delivered quantity, price list for each commodity, and value of each commodity…
4.3. Fault statistic, improving:
• Every day, the QA dept department collects the number of fault in each process, of each commodity. The fault summary table of each order will be sent to the Technical department and manufacturing sector to correct and repair.
• For each order, the QA dept department will carry out a fault statistic using Pareto column Chart to find solutions for other orders.
4.4. Customer’s feedback statistic, improving:
• Customer’s feedback will be gathered in one separate file.
• When gathering feedback, the Sales department also uses Pareto Chart to analyze.
