PROCEDURE FOR SETTING GOAL, TARGET AND ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

I. PURPOSE:

This procedure subjects to set goal and target in accordance with the environment policy of the company and examine the result of the company environment management program.

2. SCOPE:

This procedure applies to the goal and target setting as well as the management of the environment program of the company.

3. RESPONSIBILITY:

• The board representative is responsible for setting goals that suit the company’s environment policy.
• The representative will work with the divisional heads to make specific goals and the environment management program, based on:

3.1. The environment goal of the company.

3.2. The significant environmental aspects of the company.

3.3. Legal and other environment requirements that relate to the company.

3.4. The heads of divisions are responsible for supervising and analyzing the environment program of their own divisions.

3.5. The board representative is responsible for supervising and evaluating the implementation of goals, targets and the environment management program.

4. PROCEDURE CONTENTS:

4.1. Setting goals, targets and the environment management program.

4.2. Setting environment goals and targets.

Remember to consider the following when setting goals:

• Must be suitable with the environment policy, including the agreement on pollution prevention.
• Abide by legal and other requirements.
• Must mention the significant environmental aspects.
• Must be suitable with technology ability, requirements of business and finance activities.
• Opinions of concerned parties.
• Meet the company regulations (if have).

4.1.2. Establish the environment management program.

To meet the environment policy, goal and objective, every year, the board representative along with the heads of divisions will establish an environment management program as mentioned in the enclosed form. This program must be looked into by the EPD and be approved by the board representative after finished.

4.1.3. The following points need considering when establishing environment management program:
• Specify the people of responsibility.
• Necessary resources and finishing time.
• Approaches and plan to execute.
• If there should be any project relating to the launch of new plan or new product.

4.2. The announcement of goals, objectives and the environment management program.

4.2.1. ISO project team is responsible for assigning goals, objectives and the environment management program of the company to divisions.

4.2.2. The heads of divisions are responsible for informing staff of the goals, objectives and the program, as well as helping their subordinates realize their roles and responsibilities in the program.

4.3. Report on the progress rate:

4.3.1. Once a month, the heads of divisions have to confirm the execution progress of the environment management program of their divisions and make report to the board representative.
4.3.2. These results will be considered by the board representative and then be discussed in the periodical meeting of the board.
